Massive Global Recall

Philips CPAP Foam Linked to
Cancer & Lung Damage.

Millions of DreamStation devices were recalled because sound abatement foam can degrade into toxic particles. If you inhaled these particles and got sick, you may be entitled to compensation.

The Case Against Philips

  • Defect: Toxic PE-PUR Foam
  • Primary Injury: Lung Cancer / Fibrosis
  • Global Settlement: $1.1 Billion (Approved)

*Personal injury claims are still being evaluated for individual payouts.

Why Are These Machines Dangerous?

Philips used a polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) foam to reduce sound and vibration in their ventilators and CPAP machines.

It was discovered that this foam breaks down over time, especially in high heat or humid conditions, or when cleaned with ozone cleaners. Users were unknowingly inhaling black debris and toxic VOC gases directly into their lungs while they slept, causing severe respiratory issues and cancer.

Who Qualifies for a Lawsuit?

  • Device User: Used a recalled Philips CPAP, BiPAP, or Ventilator (DreamStation, etc.).
  • Duration: Used the device for at least 6 months to 1 year.
  • Diagnosis: Diagnosed with Lung Cancer, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, or other respiratory illness.
