Johnson & Johnson faces thousands of lawsuits alleging their talc-based products contained asbestos. A $9 Billion settlement plan is currently being negotiated.
*J&J denies liability but discontinued talc globally in 2023.
Talc is a naturally occurring mineral often mined near asbestos, a known carcinogen. For decades, internal documents suggest Johnson & Johnson knew their raw talc supply sometimes tested positive for asbestos but failed to warn regulators or consumers.
When used for feminine hygiene, talcum powder particles can travel through the reproductive system to the ovaries, causing inflammation and cellular changes that may lead to **Ovarian Cancer**. Inhalation of the powder has also been linked to **Mesothelioma**.
The most common injury claim.
Cancer of the lung lining caused by asbestos.
Rare cancer linked to genital talc use.
Cancer of the abdominal lining.
Note: J&J has switched to a cornstarch-based formula, which is safe. Only talc-based products are involved.
The proposed $9 billion settlement would be distributed based on the severity of the illness, age of the plaintiff, and extent of product use.
Less consistent usage history or borderline pathology reports.
Confirmed Ovarian Cancer with biopsy showing talc/asbestos fibers.
Mesothelioma cases or severe Ovarian Cancer in younger women with heavy daily usage.
If you used J&J Baby Powder and were diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer or Mesothelioma, we can help you join the settlement.
The Congressional Report and subsequent lawsuits have implicated brands such as Gerber, Beech-Nut, Nurture (Happy Baby), Hain Celestial (Earth's Best Organic), Campbell Soup (Plum Organics), Walmart (Parent's Choice), and Sprout Organic Foods.
Some specific products have been recalled, but many products with elevated heavy metals remain on shelves because the FDA is still in the process of setting stricter limits. The lawsuits allege that companies set their own internal standards that were dangerously high.
Key evidence includes medical records confirming an Autism or ADHD diagnosis and proof of purchase or use of the specific baby food brands (receipts, loyalty card records, photos, or sworn testimony).
